Film production logo

During the making of a film the production team will use a logo on everything such as posters, trailers and merchandise. Two mainstream companies are Disney and Warner Brothers. Disney have a few different logos for different films for distribution. At the beginning of a Disney film sometimes they adapt the logo to the film for example in Lilo and Stitch the castle becomes space theme. However, in Frankenweenie it becomes back and white.

This means that mainstream companies can change their logo to the film theme. Another example Warner Brothers change their logo for the Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets to Happy Potter: Deathly Hallows. As the film becomes dark and more intense so does the logo.

However smaller independent companies just use one logo such as Film4,  and Studio Canal this is because it's not as important to their film as they are more realistic unlike an animated film or a fantasy film.

As our film is probably going to be an independent style we need a simple logo but needs to be recognisable. From a logo of a production company you can tell what type of film it is. Syncopy have a maze because their films are normally mystery and complex. Since our film is about money and "cheating" in life. I wanted to use a dark pair of dice and our production name could be Snake eyes productions or  Play Fair Productios.
