Research into Viral Adverts

Viral advertising is a modern way of marketing a film to an audience. The viral advertising is quite popular with independent films. For example "Shifty" used a viral advert. They used an ad where people could take a photo of their friends and send it into the website and their photo gets put onto a CCTV photo making them look like committed a crime.

However, some big franchise films like "The Dark Knight" for example they made a newspaper which was two sided. One side was a normal paper made by Gothem news paper company. But the other side was made by the Mimes who are evil. This is good because it made more of a buzz to the audience as they had a spin off news paper.

For our film if we did do a viral advert we could do an advert for a money lending company. We have looked at KwickQuid and Pounds to Pocket loans. Fro the other ones we have looked at it seems they like to use fake or animated actors. This might be because they don't want to use real actors to distract the attention from the hard truth or interest rates.
